RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Policy Administration Functional Analyst with expertise in Policy Administration within the P&C Insurance industry in Mercer County, NJ. This person will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business or system processes and requirements for applications. This role will work closely with all Project and Business team members through-out the project lifecycle.Responsibilities:
  • Policy Administration Functional Analyst will lead and coordinate requirements planning & monitoring activities for project delivery
  • Collaborate with applicable stakeholders to understand and diagram existing or new business processes using a variety of modeling techniques
  • Elicit, capture and document requirements independently; Prepare and maintain documentation utilizing user stories, use cases, diagrams, or other requirement management templates and tools
  • Understand and demonstrate proficiency in applying appropriate requirements elicitation techniques (interviews, surveys, brainstorming sessions, etc.)
  • Provide estimates for assignments independently and lead team members with task estimation; Well versed with estimation methodologies
  • As a Functional Analyst, you will lead meetings and drive team interaction, as well as foster business relationships
  • Understand in detail the features, functions, and capabilities of package solutions in order to achieve proper business requirements alignment and adaptation to package as needed
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of incidents as needed


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in software delivery
  • 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst (working with Personal & Commercial Insurance products is required)
  • Policy Administration (PAS) within commercial lines is required
  • Knowledge and experience in Commercial Lines Insurance
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of different requirements gathering tools and techniques (use cases, diagramming, process modeling, interviews, workshops, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of multiple project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Proven experience leading and coordinating teamwork efforts
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment, and adapting to change
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Hybrid work schedule - 3 days a week on-site required in office
Any certifications or licenses related to the following areas are of value-add:
  • Agile project delivery
  • Business Analysis
  • Property & Casualty Insurance


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
