Job Description

ThePolicy and Research Analyst Internplays a crucial role in shaping meaningful policy development. Their responsibilities includecollecting and analyzing a wide spectrum of datato inform policy decisions. Drawing from their understanding of federal, state, and local policies related to online education, theyapproach challenges with creativity and fresh perspectives. Additionally, this role actively supports theAcademic Policy and Research teamby providing policy recommendations and advocating for research findings and relevant data.

  • Research and report on a wide array of emerging program and policy issues related to online education; Synthesizes findings to identify best practices;
  • Monitor and analyze implementation of state and federal laws and legislation related to online education;
  • Assist with quantitative and qualitative analysis using publicly available datasets, as well as assist with the process of new data collection in support of research;
  • Compile and organize statistical data;
  • Prepare, enter, arrange and display data in a meaningful and useful format for varying documents and written and oral presentations for diverse audiences.
  • Extract, collect and aggregate data across databases, information sources, survey responses, and other data sources; Ensure data quality; Clean and check exiting data for consistency and accuracy.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Current student pursuing a BS/BA or MS/MA degreein Education, Policy or a closely related field.
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
  • Ability to listen effectively, respect others' perspectives and contributions, and offer and accept constructive feedback.
  • Demonstrated experience with metadata and authoring tools.
  • Web proficiency.
  • Ability to work remotely with a good internet connection.
  • Ability to clear required background check.

Certificates and Licenses: None required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduate Degree in Education, Policy or closely related field
  • Experience in school education, policy or related field

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person's education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee's salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position's level and expected contribution, and the employee's benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range
  • We anticipate this position will pay between $16.00 to $22.00 per hour. The upper end of this range is not likely to be offered, as an individual's compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Eligible employees may receive a bonus.
