Job Description

Develop and execute pricing in response to pricing requests from overseas partners and corporate customers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate pricing for national accounts, overseas partners, and private relocations.
• Identify and research pricing for estimating costs for international moves by analyzing market conditions, customer information, and company objectives.
• Analyze rate options and research ways to provide the most competitive routing options to promote productivity and efficiencies, while confirming accuracy and maximizing profitability.
• Analyze survey results and negotiate spot rates with suppliers to provide competitive pricing to private and corporate customers.
• Work closely with domestic/overseas partners, air freight companies, trucking companies, and steamship lines to obtain competitive rates and transit times.
• Maintain constant communication with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and pricing information for vendors.

Job Skills Required

• Experience working in industry pricig systems such as Acadia and Price Point
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret numerical data and develop innovative solutions.
• Effectively present information and respond to questions from management, customers, and employees.
• Calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, commissions, and percentages.
• Calculate rates based on applicable tariffs. Calculate weights based on volumes.
• Effectively create and manipulate documents utilizing the Microsoft Office suite, including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Advanced level expertise in Excel, including but not limited to, pivot tables, complex formula creation, VLOOKUPS, etc.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional education beyond high school in the fields of Business, Finance, Accounting, Logistics, or Mathematics preferred.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
