Position Overview

The Novelis North America (NNA) Human Resources team is looking for a Process Excellence Lead, HR Projects.

The Process Excellence Lead, HR Projects will work closely with the Sr. Manager, HR Projects, and our cross functional partners to improve and transfer our business processes to meet the strategic goals of HR. This role will lead and/or support teams to deliver project(s) that may span across HR plus one or more business locations. Scope includes regional and local HR process and system improvement initiatives, new program/system development, capital expenditures and integration and/or consolidation.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and/or assists in projects to support HR objectives and strategy from planning and implementation.
  • Uses relationships with business/functional leaders and collaborators to achieve optimal project outcomes
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies and tools to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.
  • Communicate and collaborate across multiple functions within and outside of HR (finance, accounting, IT)
  • Provide summary updates on project status, issues and risks to manager and project's Steering Committee
  • Assist in the creation and ongoing tracking of metrics
  • Lead each aspect of assigned project to ensure the overall project is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
  • Understand functional and technical requirements within each project to ensure desired outcomes.
  • Set and continually lead project and program expectations
  • Supervise, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, dependencies, and critical path results
  • Develop and deliver progress reports various audiences, including project team, sponsors, steering committee, and key partners
  • Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication
  • Ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
  • Assist in resolving business problems, recommending resolutions and identifying priorities
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects
  • Demonstrated ability working with business partners within a cross-functional environment
  • Experience in HR fields such as HRIS, benefits, payroll, or compensation (preferred)
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (preferred)
  • Microsoft Office Suite and other project planning applications
  • Documentation experience using Microsoft Visio or some other process flow software
  • Analytical, critical thinking skills
  • Interpersonal skills to facilitate and improve performance within a cross-functional environment
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Must be able to lead multiple tasks simultaneously without sacrificing attention to detail
  • Proven sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines with desired results
Location Profile

Novelis' Global Corporate Headquarters is located in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta Georgia and employs approximately 250 people. It is co-located with Novelis' North America regional office which employs approximately 225 people.
