- Maintain the process and implementation of the IT system for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
- Define future requirements and coordinate with the IT Supervisor for installing system improvements based on technological developments.
- Operates the system to support company operations and service in the most efficient manner and modifies infrastructure as needed to give maximum support.
- Maintains system with provision for continuity of operations during any disaster recovery if other emergency situations.
- Maintain process system applications using PLC and HMI technologies.
- Maintain, implement and commission software on PLC and PC based automation systems with focus on Advanced Process Technologies and Automation Systems networks.
- Provide engineering skills to support the development of processes, networks and network management systems
- Provide technical and process computing knowledge for the advancement of Plant Process management
- Assist in the evaluation of process management systems and related architectures.
- Provide technical computing skills to assist the implementation of intranet strategies
- Maintain an up to date personal engineering knowledge of advances and trends in technologies
- Undertake specific tasks and studies as assigned.
- Willingness to be on call and to work long hours if necessary in case of serious network malfunction.
- Ability to work with both technical and nontechnical personnel to solve network problems;
- Good understanding of existing network programs and capabilities.
- Ability to work side-by-side with maintenance/
Qualifications
- HS Diploma/GED required - Computer Science or related Degree preferred
- Network experience required
- Ability to pass a background check & physical/drug screen
Physical Demands
- Standing, twisting, pushing, pulling throughout shift
- Occasional lifting, carrying, and/or lowering 50-120 pounds
