The Product Configuration Analyst establishes and maintains the product offering structure and advises and supports the assigned Platform throughout the life of the product. The Product Configuration Analyst is responsible to upload and maintain the product offering of the assigned products in the relevant systems. The Product Configuration Analyst works in a global and cross-functional environment to support all aspects of Product Configuration Management, cooperating with Engineering, Product Specialists, Manufacturing, Logistics and Commercial Departments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain product offering for the assigned product in conjunction with business leaders/platforms.
  • Create and manage all Product Offering Change Requests to gather required approvals for proposed changes; maintain approval matrix.
  • Clearly and effectively, communicate all Change Requests with all related functions (Marketing, Pricing, Plants, etc.) to ensure timely implementation of all changes.
  • Collaborate with Commercial and assigned Platform(s) to define optimal standardized product offerings keeping in mind the Dealer as the end customer.
  • Support Platform team and Engineering to build the new product according to Global Product Development methodology.
  • Cooperate with Platform Engineering for upper-level Bill of Material definition; manage Engineering Central release process for product offerings and top-level Bill of Materials.
  • Interact with Engineering regarding the maintenance of the product structures in Engineering Central to ensure both systems remain in sync at all times; manage and participate in the review and completion of Engineering Change Orders for the assigned products.
  • Upload product offering in PRP (in Concept or Production environment depending on program requirements) according to platform deadlines. This requires understanding of commercial and industrial offerings and the capability to apply these in PRP structures, technical constraints, and configuration rules.
  • Keep the data up to date throughout the lifecycle of the product to guarantee alignment with the Product Offering.
  • Transfer Legal and Technical constraints in the related application (Piano Gamma or Cross Market depending on effectively date relevance).
  • Understand systems interfaces and legacy systems logics to assure the product is compliant with all requirements.
  • Support pricing and manufacturing teams in the resolution of orders management issues.
  • Understand the lower-level bills of material and support engineers and technical writer in the change release process; support Engineering community to solve bill of material inconsistencies highlighted by the plant in a timely and effective way to minimize the impact on manufacturing.
  • Initiate the deactivation of old models in all systems based on phase out in Manufacturing and Commercial.
  • Drive and support common processes, issue resolution and training of other Product Offering Specialists at supported sites.
  • Be continually aware of and involved with any system enhancements, new training opportunities, user issues, processes, etc.
The annual compensation for this position is $71,000-$102,000 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role).

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in Product Development/ Engineering environment, Configuration Management or Manufacturing.
This position is eligible for HYBRID work arrangements
