Production Assistant

Job Summary

The Production Assistant will support the daily operational functions of manufacturing within SAP EWM and PP modules. Working in parallel with Department Supervisors and Team Leads, the Production Assistant will work to ensure daily production activities align with SAP EWM/PP process steps and will execute transactions to ensure timely and full completion of these activities. In addition, the Production Assistant will have a role in maintaining optimal performance of EWM and PP modules by tracking, updating and reporting on key system metrics as well as identifying and assisting in closing gaps in system, process and training.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Organizes and coordinates the flow of daily operations activities between SAP EWM/PP and the production teams as needed to meet department objectives.
• Monitors, creates and assigns warehouse tasks utilizing SAP S/4HANA & Extended Warehouse Management [EWM] software platforms.
• Completes and validates consumptions, confirmations and Goods Receipts utilizing SAP S/4HANA & Extended Warehouse Management [EWM] software platforms.
• Maintains the health of the EWM environment through monitoring and clean-up of the department's activities in the system.
• Conducts Cycle Counts and reports results on a routine basis to maintain accurate inventory.
• Generates and supplies system status reports on relevant Business KPIs and departmental activities, production, performance metrics.
• Develops and updates relevant training materials.
• Provides input, support and feedback on process improvements within functional areas.

Qualifications

• Computer and data entry experience a must.
• Must be proficient with MS Office computer applications.
• Once trained, ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment is a must.
• Knowledge/experience SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP systems is a plus.
• Manufacturing inventory experience is a plus.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to communicate and interact with all functions and levels of the organization.
• Strong interpersonal and team building skills are essential.
• Must demonstrate proven success in a fast paced and extremely service-driven environment.
• Must be familiar with process documentation and improvement.
• Requires sound decision making and problem-solving capabilities.
• Detail orientated and strong time management skills a must.
