POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starter and driven intern to join our Production team in finding ways to convert PCNY plant and warehouse to "Zero Landfill" facilities. This internship opportunity will focus on generating potential ideas based on the concepts of reduce, reuse and recycle, enabling the sites to meet the certification of Zero Landfill Certification. Subsequentially these ideas will be developed into processes that under the direction and guidance of this position will be implemented across PCNY.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.

• Learn and identify gaps in Production processes that will help in laying out the plan for PCNY's Zero Landfill Program.
• Conduct research on program sustainability and continuity to measure replication and implementation in other PCNY locations.
• Ensure that our program meets the requirements for certification for the Zero Landfill designation.
• Create a detailed recycling program that will be applicable for the various locations of PCNY

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Business, Management, Supply Chain, Environmental Sciences and/or Industrial Engineering
• Able to travel to different PCNY locations in New York
• Has people/project leadership throughout the academic career
• Proficient in MS Office and can generate reports via Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to work in a result oriented and challenging environment
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

COMPENSATION RANGE:
Potential earning is from $19.00 to $22.00 hourly
