The Production Supervisor reports directly to the Plant Manager and is responsible for all aspects of their shift's performance. Maintains a safe and clean work environment by promoting 5S principles and adhering to safety guidelines. Maintaining compliance with established safety policies and procedures. Proven manufacturing leader with strong technical aptitude and a continuous improvement mindset.

Manage production team of 15-20 team members, establishing work assignments to meet production schedules, using knowledge of team member skills and machine capabilities. Responsible for team member training and development, and providing all employees with the tools, information, and materials/parts necessary to perform assigned tasks. The Production Supervisor is accountable for ensuring the team meets its production and quality goals with on-time shipments, and within budget. Establishes daily priorities, monitors progress, and resolves issues as they arise. Must be able to conduct root cause analysis and quickly resolve problems by implementing appropriate corrective actions and preventing reoccurrence.

Monitors and appraises employees' performance and development requirements, and conducts performance check-ins to enhance productivity and efficiency. Trains, coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees, as required. Prior experience maintaining industrial equipment, including preventive maintenance and equipment cleaning to maintain a high-level of consistent quality and throughput.

Support manufacturing improvement opportunities by utilizing Lean principles to drive continuous improvement in KPI's, production methods, communication, and problem solving with a sense of urgency. Data driven mindset with ability to track and monitor manufacturing performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Strong leadership skills to act as a positive role model for direct reports and peers, interpreting and enforcing Company policies and procedures. Initiate and foster plans to engage employees to achieve performance goals while maintaining a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.

Position Requirements:

* Minimum of 3 years in a team-oriented manufacturing environment
* Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate and work with all levels of the organization
* Strong people management, change management, and strategic thinking
* Hands-on and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
* Proven development of high-performing teams
* Solid computer skills, including MS Office
* Open availability/flexibility to work overtime as needed, including extended shifts and/or weekends

Work Environment:

This job operates in an industrial manufacturing environment without air-conditioning. This role requires regular standing and walking for extended periods of time. Climbing stairs/ladders, squatting, sitting, operating machinery, and lifting may be required.
