Production Technician Position Summary:

Production Technician will be responsible for settings up and operating automatic punch presses used in the manufacture of precision stamped components. Completes set up, in process, and finsihed part inspection for conformance to quality standards and customer expectations. Makes adjustments to the stamping process to ensure quality requirements are maintained. Is able to work in a team environment and interact with a multitude of organizations during manufacturing operations.

This positions shift schedule is Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm
Responsibilities

Production Technician Responsibilities:

  • Operate production equipment to include progressive and single stage stamping press used in the manufacture of precision stamped components
  • Troubleshoot the machine and investigates machine issues during production runsPerform visual and measurement inspections and accurately documents the resultInterpret blueprints, follows control plans,
  • Follow manufacturing and quality procedures and comply to the documented requirements
  • Work as a team member on the production floor, assisting others as needed
  • Adhere to all safety policies; perform safety checks and preventative maintenance Maintain an organized work area (5S)
  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
Qualifications

Production Technician Responsibilities Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment running machining equipment
  • Ability to set up and run stamping presses and/or metal forming equipment
  • Ability to comprehend and follow work instructions, SOP's and training documents,
  • Ability to use hand tools such as a micrometer, pin gauge, caliper and dial indicator
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment, possess mechanical aptitude and exhibit strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Excellent shop math skills to include fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Dexterity and hand and eye coordination
Physical & Environmental Demands:

Cretex Companies use cutting oils, solvents, and other chemicals in the manufacturing process. Testing is conducted on a periodic basis to ensure that all chemicals are kept well below the OSHA permissible exposure levels.
