The Mishkon Division provides supports and services in a healthy and safe environment for individuals with intellectual/ developmental disabilities living in residential programs and in community settings. Our core values are to provide a healthy and safe environment that promotes person centered planning, community integration, and close collaboration with families and the community. This is all accomplished through an Orthodox Jewish lens, and with an understanding that staff, at all levels of the division, is the determining factor in achieving positive outcomes for our clients.

The Program Assistant will report to the Executive Program Director and Deputy Director. The Program Assistant will support the work of the Executiry Program Director and Deputy Director in supervising and supporting the portfolio of programs within the Jewish Services Division. The key focus of this role will be to manage and contribute to projects and workflows undertaken by the Executive Program Director and Deputy Director.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of full-time work experience working in a social services setting a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertakes special projects at the request of the Executive Program Director and Deputy Director such as; memo or report writing, data collection and/or analysis, creation of PowerPoint presentations, research, coordinating meetings, and tracking down information.
  • Makes concerted efforts to learn, over time, the range of programs offered the Jewish Services Division and issues/challenges staff face in delivering qualify services.
  • Alert Executive Program Director and Deputy Director to issues, concerns, delays, and obstacles in carrying out requested task; suggests new and improved ways to approach work.
  • Attends meetings with the Executive Program Director and Deputy Director and notes follow-up required; tracks and/or carries out those follow-up activities.
  • Utilized data to inform planning, service delivery and overall management.
  • Travels to program sites as needed.
