Local Unit & Position Description

DNV Energy Systems Energy Management group is seeking a Program Manager to join our Product Innovation team, to manage the day-to-day operations of portfolio programs directed at providing energy efficiency products to business customers, contractors, and trade allies.

This position is based out of our Okemos, MI office.

What You'll Do

  • Facilitate and oversee the work of a small group of less than 10 program implementers
  • Budget management and tracking of performance against goals
  • Oversee implementation of Energy Waste Reduction Products/Services with customers; on-site visits and customer interviews
  • Facilitate strategies for achieving program goals and increasing energy efficiency among Commercial/Industrial customers
  • Program management, working closely with utility client personnel to monitor program/project results including energy savings, quality assurance
  • Facilitate analysis of energy efficiency products
  • Manage performance of subcontractors
  • Review and process invoices
  • Develop recommendations to improve the program as needed
  • Preparation of written reports
Position Qualifications

What is Required
  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in energy efficiency
  • Minimum 2 years leading a team
  • Technical knowledge of the energy efficiency industry measures and systems
  • Strong management skills
  • Budget and data management experience
  • Solid problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills for customer communication
  • Experience delivering presentations or public speaking in other forums
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Team player with positive attitude and ability to work effectively with different teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel, up to 5% of the time
  • Must have drivers license or otherwise manage travel within Michigan for company business
  • We conduct pre-employment background and drug screenings
What is Preferred
  • Bachelor's in Marketing or Communications is preferred.
  • 2 years of leading a team 5 or more direct reports
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project software
