Summary:
Assists with a variety of cancer research project related tasks for a faculty member in Cancer Prevention and Control; performs duties in support of managerial staff related to the projects. Participates in recruitment of study participants, data collection, and analysis. Coordinates research meetings and activities. Coordinates, monitors, or supervises the activities of students as required. This position also Coordinates research projects/programs, such as recruitment and training of outreach workers and students, Serves as an initial point contact to study participants in the community and recruits study participants and manage the collected consent forms and data. The role also recruits and communicates with community stakeholders, develops research and outreach materials, assist in IRB submissions, and obtains and enters data to support various projects; compiles, sorts and verifies accuracy of data, often involving sensitive or confidential areas. They also analyze CT and MR scans, write routine correspondence independently, often requiring technical knowledge of the particular function/project or program area involved, and provides information in writing, in person and via telephone regarding policies, procedures and practices concerning assigned projects/programs.

Starting salary for this position is $41,742 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience

1. Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in the functional area of assignment; or
2. Associate's degree in an appropriate field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in the functional area of assignment.

Note: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will be bilingual in Spanish both in speaking and reading, have experience working in a research environment, prior experience working with study participants, experience working with data and databases, prior experience with project management, and will have their bachelors degree in a health related science.
