Job Purpose

The Project Leader supports the goals of the business by delivering the technical workstream on multiple regional or global projects. Must understand the crossfunctional aspects of the business and translate customer requirements into product attributes. Must demonstrate effectiveness in selling a technical vision, have the ability to think strategically, and proven success at managing stakeholders at all levels.

Job Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong project management skills with detailed project plans and ability to simultaneously manage multiple short- and long-term projects.
  • Oversee and/or lead the development of new products, or review of existing products, including scale up and customer trials.
  • Create workplans, allocate materials and manpower, and review results with team members.
  • Plan on a yearly timescale with regular stakeholder reviews.
  • Participate in bench work, as necessary, and drive efficiency through example and coachings.
  • Operate as a mentor and role model to peers in day to day activities.
  • Performs each essential duty safely, satisfactorily, and in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering.
  • 10 years' experience working with solvent-borne coatings for industrial wood products.
  • Familiarity with Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) industry-standards preferred.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with different levels throughout the organization in an international/multi-cultural environment.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Serve as a role model for safe work environment practices.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% as necessary.

Total Compensation

The compensation package for this position will include a base salary, annual bonus, and employee benefits that are effective the first day of employment.
