ABOUT YOU

Are you looking to build a career in the environmental field? Are you passionate about the environment and working collaboratively to improve our environment? If the answer is, "Yes!" then we have an exciting career opportunity for you. Who are we? We are Montrose Environmental Group, the premier environmental services provider.

For this Project Manager and Environmental Permitting Specialist [Environmental Professional] position we are seeking a candidate with approximately 5+ years of experience in preparing environmental documents, such as permit applications, CEQA/NEPA impact evaluations, and habitat or stream assessments for a range of projects involving wetlands, waters, and sensitive species and habitats in California. We are searching for a skilled writer, whose written documents are clear, concise, and well-reasoned. We are also seeking a candidate with excellent organization and communication skills.

Our preferred candidate has a solid foundational knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and regulatory agency permitting processes in California, particularly in Northern California. Experience with other types of permits, such as San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC) permits, Coastal Development permits, and State Lands Commission leases, is also desirable, but not required.

In this position you will manage and lead permit strategy development and regulatory agency consultations for a wide range of projects. Experience in conducting field surveys, particularly wetland delineations and biological resources assessments, is a preferred supplemental skill, but not required.

The ideal candidate is an effective team member who proactively identifies and contributes constructively to address project challenges. Working with us you will be contributing to projects that benefit ecosystems and communities.
