Description

  • To lead Project Management Commissions in either the Industrial or Manufacturing sectors, taking responsibility for end to end service delivery, often with respect to large or complex projects.
  • To act as the key day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered safely to time and cost targets and in accordance with the appropriate quality standards.
  • Delivery of projects with the focus on safety, budget, schedule and quality output
  • Manage directly, and in certain circumstances liaise with others in the management of and engagement with a set of stakeholders, etc. to ensure project timescales are met
  • Procure (where appropriate), manage and direct a diverse range of Consultant expertise across a multi-disciplinary skillset
  • Oversee the management of construction project design, estimation and project planning including all relevant statutory processes, procurement management and maintenance forecasting, working closely with various client departments, including Asset Management, Asset Operations, HSQE, Communications and Customer Operations
  • Accountable for management of project control, including resourcing and service delivery requirements, ensuring Consultant supervision where relevant and approving all payment certificates
  • Manage production and approval of project delivery plans, contractor plans, cash flow projections and earned value analysis
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of construction service providers for capital projects, including conformance and compliance
  • Accountable for supervision of the project close-out activities, including commissioning and handover to Operations and Maintenance


Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in managing large or multiple infrastructure/capital projects such as Data Centres, Automotive, Pharmaceutical, Industrial, Logistics or Manufacturing projects.
  • University degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
  • Member of a Professional Institute preferred e.g. PMI
  • Strong knowledge and experience of project management, contract management (i.e. through use of major contract forms such as FIDIC or similar), strategic planning, methodologies and construction delivery best practice;
  • Strong business acumen with financial perspective in the forefront
  • Experience using project, programme and finance management tools such as MS Project and Primavera P6 or similar
  • Experience managing a varied team, commercial contract management and conflict resolution skills. Proven track record dealing with issues, proactively and in a timely fashion, along with the ability to communicate complex information to all stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to successfully implement and execute programmes and driving performance. Knowledge and experience of mobilizing and managing the supply chain, including design, planning and construction services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Business level English, native level Spanish
  • LEED AP Certification preferred.
  • Experience delivering projects with LEED certification (BD+C) is a plus
