Your Role:

As a QC Laboratory Technician at our Hometown facility you will support the analysis of organosilicon, organometallic and specialty gas products used in the semiconductor fabrication industry. The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for routine trace metal's analysis of finished goods and raw materials for existing and new product lines. The Laboratory Technician may be required to assist with safety, health, environmental, and product quality improvements under general guidelines and supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor and Manager. The position may be required to support the 24/7 plant operations and/or special projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide routine trace metal's analytical support for operations, quality, and R&D teams
  • Analyze samples and communicate results to respective business unit
  • Operate and maintain analytical equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks within the laboratory
  • Operate equipment such as ICP-MS, analytical balance, microwave digestion system, pipettes, and pH meter
  • Adhere to and support the ISO 9001 Quality Assurance program at the site

Who You Are:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology or related science field

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of hands-on laboratory experience
  • 2+ experience with handling hazardous chemicals (toxic, reactive, pyrophoric, corrosive, oxidizer, Fluorine and HF)
  • Hands on experience with ICP-MS and microwave digestion systems
  • Experience working in a clean room environment
  • Experience with data entry into a laboratory data management system
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to multitask, work as an individual contributor and as a member of a diverse team, a skilled problem solver, and have a strong passion for continuous improvement and quality
  • Ability to function independently and efficiently under the guidance of management and have good communications skills.
  • Ability to recognize existing problems, foresee potential problems, and implement measures to eliminate or reduce the probability of occurrence and/or minimize their impact.
