Position summary

The Quality Supervisor will be responsible for training and providing work direction for Quality Inspectors and Technicians by providing quality assurance expertise, guidance and leadership with regard to customer requirements and quality standards.
Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide leadership, training and support to quality inspectors and technicians
  • Lead and prioritize daily workload for quality inspectors and technicians
  • Coordinate Material Review Board (MRB) activities through the disposition, corrective action and approval processes
  • Support corrective action and preventative actions (CAPA) investigations relating to quality processes
  • Maintain and continuously improve the internal training system and document control processes
  • Provide leadership and training to the internal audit team in support of continuous improvement of the quality system
  • Provide expertise in support of the supplier quality process including conducting supplier audits
  • Monitor the utilization of employee safety and OE programs
  • Partner with the other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance
  • Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
  • Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly
  • Participate in required company meetings
  • Maintain an organized work area (5S)
  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
  • Support and comply with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
  • Complete all other work as assigned
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent degree (GED)
  • 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance
  • ISO 13485/ISO 9001
  • Quality systems auditing
  • Root cause analysis and problem solving
  • Inspection equipment use and maintenance
  • Advanced GD&T
  • Lean manufacturing
  • Lead, coach, and mentor the Quality Assurance team
  • Ability to consistently achieve short and long-term business results
  • Ability to follow through on commitments and hold team members accountable
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask

Desirable Criteria & Qualifications
  • Technical degree in a relevant field
  • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) Certification
