Job Details

The Recruiting Consultant is responsible for sourcing, identifying, and interviewing prospective candidates. The Recruiting Consultant will facilitate the full cycle recruitment process through all levels of the leadership team as well as identify and develop recruiting sources and opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strong "Closing" skills

• Identifies the needs of the candidate and client to maximize:

o Skill sets of the candidate

o Skill requirements of the client

• Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.

• Interview applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, and job skills.

• Coordinate all send-outs/interviews with the clients.

• Negotiate and close all job offers.

• Efficiently and effectively fill open positions.

• Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.

• Seeks, interviews, assesses, reference checks and places candidates that completely satisfy the client's requirements.

• Utilize the Internet for recruitment.

o Post positions to appropriate Internet sources.

o Research new ways of using the Internet for recruitment.

o Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates

• Communicate with clients and candidates regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads.

• Attend local area trade shows, career fairs, open houses, etc....

• Develop and maintain an excellent relationship with the clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.

• Research and gather competitor information.

• Conduct the following background checks

o Reference Checks

o Criminal Background Check (As required by State or Federal regulations)

o Drug Screen

o "OIG" (Office of Inspector General)

• Other duties as assigned

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

  • Effective verbal and communication skills to include the knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes client needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Skill in interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of all positions, and specialized functions for the client.
  • The ability to professionally communicate with internal and external customers
  • The ability to work effectively in a teamwork environment
  • The ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with internal and external customers.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING
  • Computer literacy skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Internet)
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required
  • Two to five years of professional experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
