Job Description Summary
The primary function of the research specialist A position is to perform experiments, collect and record data, maintain supplies, equipment, mice, and cell lines needed for laboratory based projects, all under the supervision of the principal investigator and other members of the lab. Up to but no more than 60% of the positions efforts will be to provide assistance to the CRC for specific projects. Duties include maintenance of laboratory functions, attending and contributing to lab meetings, and working with other lab members. Opportunities will exist for designing experiments, analyzing data, presenting at lab meetings, and obtaining authorship on manuscripts and scientific meetings.
This position is contingent upon continued grant funding.
Qualifications: BA in science or engineering with 0-1 year of experience or equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
