We are looking for a Hardscape Installation Technician to perform a variety of construction services for one of our RV resorts. OVERVIEW

As a Resort Hardscape Installation Technician, you'll perform light duty construction of patio walls, patio pavers, drip irrigation systems and low voltage lighting systems. You'll perform these tasks on resident/owner home sites, RV sites, and in-house projects. Additionally, you'll be working on projects that require completion in a set timeframe and ensure the projects are completed at a high quality for our customers.

JOB DUTIES

  1. Hand dig footings for wall bases, as well as hand mix concrete for wall footings.
  2. Level and grade areas for patios.
  3. Hand dig trenches for drip irrigation installation and low voltage lighting installation.
  4. Lay blocks for walls and install patio pavers.
  5. Construct park approved fencing.
  6. Install artificial turf and redwood trellises.
  7. Ensure resort is presentable at all times and adhere to Sun's curb appeal standards.
  8. Empty trash, shovel, and perform maintenance or repair duties using saws, blowers, mowers, drills or other hand tools.
  9. Ensure lawns are manicured appropriately; regularly treat weeds for weed control, weed whip, rake leaves, plant flowers/shrubs, spread mulch/woodchips/stones, trim shrubs and hedges, cut and remove tree limbs damaged by adverse weather conditions, and perform other lawn care services as necessary.
  10. Inspect irrigation system regularly to ensure it is working properly; repair as needed.
  11. Pick-up trash and debris from common areas and streets on a daily basis. Empty common area trash containers as needed.
  12. Maintain resort vehicles and equipment.
  13. Report all resort maintenance issues and concerns identified while performing daily duties to manager.
  14. Follows safety procedures while performing duties, including safely operating vehicles when moving from site to site and picking up supplies.
  15. Other duties and special projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

As a Resort Hardscape Installation Technician, you must be hard-working, reliable and focused on providing exceptional customer service. You must also be highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous groundskeeping experience in the resort/hospitality industry, preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general grounds maintenance techniques
  • Ability to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record
  • Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery
  • Ability to provide legible written reports
  • Ability to work well independently as well as on a team
  • Ability to lift at least 100 pounds
  • Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and the internet
