Job Description

GPI is seeking a full-time Right of Way Designer for our Wilmington, MA or Bedford, NH office. We are looking for motivated individuals to work on NHDOT and MassDOT projects as well as private sector projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and editing CAD Drawings for Right of Way plans and Easement/Taking plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Ability to read and understand sketches, maps, deeds, plans, and other record drawings, and compile in a CAD drawing
  • Ability to read and understand Civil/Highway/Bridge construction plans and evaluate construction impacts to private property outside of the public Right of Way
  • Familiarity with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) Right of Way processes and requirements is preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with other New England State DOT Right of Way processes and requirements is a plus. This position provides an exceptional opportunity for career growth as the selected candidate will be exposed to a wide range of projects and responsibilities
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Right of Way or Land Surveying experience required
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is required.
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam is preferred but not required
  • EIT or LSIT a plus
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
  • Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails, and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
  • Able to wear GPI required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working
