We are actively hiring for a Scrum Master I. Join us and support CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, in achieving our goals.

Essential Responsibilities

• Supports one or more Scrum team to ensure an efficient operating cadence and coordinates team ceremonies inclusive of the daily scrum, backlog grooming, planning, end of sprint demonstrations, and retrospectives

• Facilitates discussions, ensures proper documentation in collaboration with other team members

• Removes impediments and/or guides the team to remove impediments by finding the right resource to assist

• Shields the team from outside distractions and interferences

• Partners with Scrum Coach to assist the team with adopting advanced scrum practices (TDD, Paired programming, continuous integration)

• Assists team and release manager with release planning and deployment strategy

• Monitors, reviews, and maintains the sprint backlog in coordination with the Product Owner and other team members

• Assists with internal and external communications

• Provides base team sprint and backlog reporting (burn down, velocity, etc.)

• Coordinates retrospectives and works with the team to implement the improvements and opportunities identified during those meetings

What would make us excited about you?

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, MIS or Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• CSM (Certified SCRUM Master) or ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) certification.

• 1 to 2 years of experience in Agile Methodologies with a minimum of one year in the Scrum Master role.

• Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks.

• 1 to 2 + years of project management or software development management experience.

• Experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.

• Good facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, and continual improvement.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact proficiently with all levels of management and staff.

• Self-directed and self-motivated.

Per Nevada SB293 we are disclosing the compensation, or range thereof, for roles that will be, or could be, performed in Nevada. If performed in Nevada, this position has a salary range of $129,200-$152,000. In compliance of Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be, or could be performed in Colorado. If performed in Colorado, this position has a salary range of $122,995-$144,700. The role includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 12% of eligible pay.
