RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking to hire a Senior Accountant to join their team in Newington, NH.Summary:This client offers a great team environment, Work/Life balance with Hybrid flexibility, Business casual, and great benefits, 401(k) Plan, etc.Responsibilities:- Preparation of ASC 740 quarterly and annual tax provision, effective tax rates, uncertain tax positions, book to tax adjustments and reconciliations of payable and deferred tax accounts
- Maintain organizational tax calendar and obligations matrix
- Audit support and responses (including federal, state, and external financial statement)
- Develop and respond to requests by tax authorities, independent audit firm or internal departments
- Maintain fixed asset system as it relates to tax depreciation calculations
- Tax research and documentation on company positions, accounting pronouncements and tax law guidance
- Special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA Certification required
- Solid knowledge of ASC 740 tax accounting
- Proficient in corporate and multi-state taxation
- Proficient with Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work independently and prioritize duties to meet strict deadlines
- Mix of public accounting and corporate environment preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
