Serve as a key financial contact, working closely with the MGB Accounting Manager and Team Leader to process, review, analyze & report the financial results of the Parent Company. Ensure that financial statements accurately reflect the condition of the Parent Company. Help to develop and maintain accounting and operational policies and procedures for the Parent Company and MGB. Provide in-depth analytical and special project work for MGB accounting management. Work closely with various other departments and the department management within Finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the coordination and preparation of monthly reporting schedules and compilation of financial reports under the direction of the MGB Accounting Manager and Team Leader.
  • Assist in the monthly reporting of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of complex balance sheet accounts.
  • Help to manage the financial close calendar and ensure accuracy and timeliness of journal entries.
  • Assist in the forecasting of balance sheet accounts and operating cash.
  • Assist in year-end audit work.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to support management inquiries, and other projects and reports as requested.
  • Ensure that customer needs are being served, including but not limited to accounting managers and other finance areas requiring financial data input and output.
  • Ongoing focus on process improvement.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • Five plus years of Accounting expereince in the healthcare industry and in all aspects of financial operations
  • Experience in translating and communicating key analyses and assumptions to Senior Management.
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting. MBA, CPA, or comparable advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in supervising staff members a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail while not losing sight of the "big picture."
  • Experience researching and accounting for complex transactions.
  • Experience working with multiple levels of management and translating / communicating key analyses and assumptions to Senior Management for decision-making.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.

Working Conditions:

More than 80% of work done on the computer, using a variety of different programs simultaneously, such as: Excel, Word, Vision, Oracle Systems, Peoplesoft Financials, Access Databases, Microsoft Outlook, and Web based systems.

Remote 90% / On-Site 10%
