RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a manufacturing client South of Grand Rapids that is looking to add a Senior Cost Accountant to their team. This position will report to the Controller and be responsible for the Cost accounting for developing and maintaining labor & manufacturing burden rates.Responsibilities include:- Bills of material and labor routings
- Evaluate and maintain accurate manufacturing cost allocations
- Provide cost analysis and support to both Finance and Operations leadership for annual budgeting, business modeling/forecasting activities, and other special projects
- Support the Controller in planning and taking the year-end physical inventory, valuation and assist in preparation of audit work papers
- Calculate variance analysis and identify cost drivers
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting and have at least 5 years of manufacturing experience preferably in an international organization
- Strong Excel and communication skills are also required
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
