The Senior Manager, Engineering will have primary responsibility for providing technical support and guidance to maintenance, operations and engineering as needed to resolve mechanical and other related equipment problems. Propose capital improved projects required to improve equipment reliability and safety. Track necessary metrics to identify improvement opportunities, analyze trends and recommend solutions. Participate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and others as needed to develop and implement improvements to work processes to ensure operating units run with maximum availability.

  • Provides technical support, guidance, direction and leadership in the design and implementation of mechanical equipment and systems. Responsible for the timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Must be a safety champion to ensure that all work is completed with no injuries.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical and related equipment problems (both fixed and rotating).
  • Track necessary metrics to identify improvement opportunities, notice certain trends, and ensure needs are met.
  • Works with Project Engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.
  • Execute capital projects in alignment with the site capital plan and in coordination with the Project Engineering group.
  • Participates in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans.
  • Participates in the final check out of new installations. This includes factory and site acceptance testing that will assure adherence to functional specifications.
  • Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.
  • Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines anAsset Maintenance Planthat includes:
    • Value-added preventive maintenance tasks
    • Effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems
  • Provides input to a Risk Management Plan that will anticipate reliability-related, andnon-reliability-related risksthat could adversely impact plant operation.
  • Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. These problems include capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the traditional clean room aseptic pharmaceutical industry.
  • Capability to implement and maintain a reliability engineering program is required.
  • Aseptic process equipment maintenance experience is required.
  • Facility & Packaging equipment maintenance experience is required.
  • CMMS experience is required.
  • Experience with RABs is preferred.
  • CCMS experience is beneficial.
