Client Solutions is WMC's integrated marketing center of excellence for centralized, end-to-end insights-led marketing strategy, strategic omnichannel planning and activation of custom category, cross-category, tentpole and custom advertiser solutions across Walmart's touchpoints-at an unparalleled scale.

We partner with suppliers to co-create industry-first programs and breakthrough experiences that connect brands with Walmart customers, aligning goals with Walmart Merchandising and Marketing and Site priorities to jointly drive commercial success.

JOB OVERVIEW

Walmart Connect is seeking an exceptionally strong and experienced individual to lead the strategic planning process and collaboration with the enterprise, to create, package and release revenue-generating advertising integration opportunities related to deals and events-in the form of sponsorships and ad product integrations into experiences on site and in stores.

In this role, the individual would lead intra-WMC collaboration with key functions that include Product and Yield, and with key Walmart partners such as Site, Marketing and Merchandising.

This Senior Manager position will report to the Director of Deals and Seasonals at WMC.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for an exceptionally strong, strategic, and effective leader who is influential, highly energized, and capable of driving internal cross-functional partnerships and workstreams within WMC and Walmart-delivering business results. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, strategic and outcomes-oriented, and effective operating in matrixed organizations.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic planning:

  • Lead discovery and opportunity recognition, utilizing data to influence and create strategic synergies with enterprise deals and events that enable supplier/client participation (through sponsorships and ad product integration) and result in ad revenue for WMC.
  • Assemble and lead WMC's workstream to support deals and events, inclusive of Product, Yield, Creative, Brand Marketing, Corporate Communications, Sales, etc.
  • Represent WMC interests and influence as primary day-to-day lead in enterprise deals and events workstreams.
Development and execution:
  • Drive cross-functional workstream to turn opportunities into specific go-to-market packages for external partner segments (enterprise suppliers, marketplace sellers, API partners, etc.)
    • Establish links to WMC's seasonal integrated marketing programs.
  • Work closely with Product to run discovery and develop ad integration opportunities.
  • Seamlessly coordinate and develop collateral to successfully release opportunities to WMC teams (chiefly Sales) and external partners.
  • Plan and oversee execution of deals and events moments to ensure flawless activation, leading "war rooms" and troubleshooting as necessary with a sense of urgency.
  • Create and optimize operational playbooks for proactive and reactive deals and events. Recognize learnings and opportunities for greater value exchange.
  • Prepare recommendations, recaps and presentations for leadership.
Collaboration:
  • Establish and drive strong partnerships with internal WMC and enterprise teams, stakeholders, and functional leads.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Relevant bachelor's degree. MBA or advanced-level academic degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in B2B sales marketing based on the description above, and at least 2 years of direct experience managing, developing, coaching, and motivating direct reports.
  • Being a highly collaborative team player and relationship builder experienced in influencing and driving cross-functional partnerships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong operational rigor.

THE BONUS - STRONGLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Product Marketing and/or Site Merchandising experience, direct or via collaboration.
  • Experience leading deals, promotional and/or seasonal ad sponsorship workstreams with cross functional teams.

POSITION LOCATION

• Hybrid Schedule: 3 days a week in the office (not a remote/virtual position)

The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00-$216,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
