Senior Manager - Procurement Operations -Value Streams

The Novelis North America (NNA) team is seeking a Senior Manager - Procurement Operations -Value Streams. The person in this role will report to the Director-Regional Procurement-NNA. They will ensure the effective and efficient supply of raw materials, direct and indirect goods, and services to the Cluster of Manufacturing facilities with a strong focus on Safety, Quality, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and Innovation. The Sr. Manager, Proc Ops-VS identifies risks to operations across the suppliers' value chains and defines mitigating actions. In partnership with the Sustaining CAPEX Procurement Team, the Senior Manager ensures the effective Procurement Management of the manufacturing units Sustaining Capital Expenditures. The role requires an in-depth knowledge of the financial performance of the cluster at the OpEx level and identifies the drivers for optimization. The role is a key member of the Cluster Operations Leadership Team.
Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Drives relationships with Plant and Value Stream Leadership to drive improvement and consistency of Sustaining CapEx
  • Drive continuous improvement in collaboration with the Global CapEx Team
  • Ensure that all CapEx budgets are met and completed in a timely manner.
  • Coach and Mentor each Team Member to ensure career development is sustained
  • Provide direction on exceeding all Goals & Objectives and provide encouraging course correction where required
  • Ensure Functional continuity through Succession Planning
  • Insert self as part of the Value Stream Leadership Team to collaborate and drive a TCO approach
  • In alignment with the Regional and Global Sourcing Leaders, establishes and implements the Procurement Cost Reduction objectives for the manufacturing unit
  • Own the ProcOps VS Team to proactively develop and facilitate cost reduction initiatives/projects with cross- functional Leaders to continuously reduce total cost of purchase goods and services.
  • Partners with the Category Teams and Central Buying Leadership to develop & handle performance metrics and KPIs to drive continual improvement.
  • Ensures adherence to Procurement and Company Policies, Business Code of Conduct, Delegation of Authority, Supplier Code of Conduct, etc.
  • Leads and negotiates Specific Supplier Agreements in alignment with Category Teams
  • Establishes supplier performance criteria where appropriate in line with the plant requirements and our vendor management policy
Qualifications
  • BS/BA Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar Excellent Data Visualization, Data Cleansing, and analytical skills with the ability to extract data from multiple sources, draw conclusions and make recommendations
  • MBA in Business preferred
  • 10-15 Years Procurement Experience and Team Leadership Experience Excellent communication (oral and written) skills
  • Strong Leadership and People Development skills
  • Experience in Negotiation and Commercial Terms Management
  • Highly effective communications in all levels of the organization
  • Able to Lead, Coach, Mentor, and thrive in a Team environment
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plus

Location Profile

Novelis' Global Corporate Headquarters is located in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta Georgia and employs approximately 250 people. It is co-located with Novelis' North America regional office which employs approximately 225 people.
