Summary:
Performs a variety of routine and specialized laboratory tests and experimental procedures specific to the area of research associated with the work in the assigned program/laboratory; provides administrative/managerial oversight of the lab operations under the direction of the Principal Investigator; assists to identify, design and/or execute research experiments to meet the research objectives of the program.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience

1. Master's degree and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time professional research experience in a laboratory, clinical or scientific research environment; or
2. Bachelor's degree and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time professional research experience in a laboratory, clinical or scientific research environment.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate should have knowledge of aseptic technique working with open systems in biosafety cabinet; hands-on experience of manufacturing of cell therapy products (dendritic and T cells) for clinical studies, working within a GMP cleanroom environment; experience with blood processing techniques using open and closed systems for purification, selection, depletion (Manual Ficoll, Percoll, CliniMACS Plus, and CliniMACS Prodigy); knowledge of FACT, cGMP, and FDA biologics regulations; excellent technical documentation, computer skills with experience in data analysis, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Batch Record (BR) and report writing; ability to work as part of a team with proven ability to effectively plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion to meet schedules and deadlines; strong project management skills and communication skills, including setting high but reachable goals, defining priorities, and inspiring the team with a sense of purpose and urgency.
