This facility is part of our Prepared Foods business unit and manufactures Nature Valley. The Senior Sanitation Supervisor will be a member of the Manufacturing Services Team supporting the Manufacturing Solution business processes for all of Tyson. The position works within a team environment as a business partner and liaison to the IS organization to implement enterprise solutions to existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and systems integration.

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supervising the sanitation procedures of an FDA Facility with multiple flour and corn processes making sure the plant meets all FDA requirements and the production lines start-up on time. This includes ensuring Team Members have been instructed on the proper safety procedures to be used in or around the work area monitoring the weekly Pre-Op Microbiologic reports working with chemical vendors troubleshooting issues such as swab failures and knowledge of chemical mixes and MSDS.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Include monitoring sanitation technicians in their use of chemicals and proper safety procedures checking inventory levels of chemicals
  • Ordering supplies when necessary
  • Taking care of daily administrative duties i.e. Team Member records and work schedules.
  • Other duties include conducting monthly safety meetings scheduling ongoing training for Team Members
  • Performing other responsibilities as the need arises.

REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent expierence

Experience: 3 plus years knowledge in sanitation and chemicals required

Computer Skills: Basic to moderate computer skills; for example, checking electronic mail entering data into document templates or creating simple queries.

Communication Skills: Must have strong communication skills

Special Skills: Must be able to work a flexible schedule

Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a large group of personnel in a single department with multiple shifts who perform similar and or interrelated tasks and activities.

Travel: May include 1-3 trips per year
