Senior Scientist, TTD

Are you ready to make a significant impact in the field of oncology research? We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist in Targeted Tumor Delivery (TTD) with a strong scientific and technical expertise! This role is based in our Oncology R&D department in Waltham, MA USA. You will be a key member of a team focused on supporting oncology projects through the drug discovery and development process. Your theoretical and practical expertise in cancer biology will be instrumental in establishing assay systems and delivering datasets that will have a direct impact on targeted therapeutics.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will design, conduct, and analyze in vitro experiments to assess the function of our candidate oncology drugs and dissect the mechanism of action of novel therapeutics. You will also review emerging literature and internal data to identify new targets and contribute to target validation activities.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• MS degree in Biomedical Sciences, Oncology, Pharmacology or a related field and 5+ years experience in pharmaceutical drug development

• Robust, hands-on experience (>3 years) evaluating antibody drug conjugates in cell-based assays (such as binding, internalization, viability, etc)

• Experience in a range of in vitro skills for the analysis of human tumor cell function (e.g. cell culture, cell signaling bioassays, high-content imaging, and cell death measurement)

• Experience in independently developing assays to assess ADC pharmacology in in vitro assays

• Experience with managing relationships with external vendors to ensure timely delivery of outsourced requests

• Works equally well independently and in collaboration to execute assigned tasks in a manner consistent with project goals

• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

• Demonstrated scientific rigor and excellence with first-author disclosures (e.g. conference abstracts, publications)
