Contributions

Responsibilities

As a Steampunk Service Now Developer, you will be working with directly with system engineers, professional service team, designers, and product owners to bring our teams conceptual solutions to life. You will be leveraging your experience by working with different cybersecurity teams and subject matter experts to provide our clients with exceptional solutions and functional products.

Contributions

As a developer, you will be hands on with the development of new functionality and will be expected to not only deliver product releases, but also to ensure solutions follow Steampunk's philosophy of human centered design and co-created experiences. Steampunk developers are committed to continuously learning and aren't afraid of solving a challenging problem with self-motivation and determination.
Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Must be US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain a public trust
  • BA or BS Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or relevant field, or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years of experience with software development, software architecture, APIs, and microservices
  • 8+ years designing, creating and configuring Notifications, UI Pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, etc.
  • 8+ years designing, creating and configuring Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting of each (including CMS/Service Portal)
  • 5+ years developing applications working with ServiceNow
  • 3+ years integrating ServiceNow with external systems through SOAP or REST web services
  • 3+ years of experience with building software using agile methods in a DevOps environment
  • 1+ years of experience with automating tests for determining quality, security, performance and usability of a system.
  • Experience writing and evaluating user stories, acceptance criteria, and pull-requests
  • Working knowledge of Git and repository providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrate sharp, analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills

Preferred Skills / Attributes:
  • Experience with HTML5, JAVA, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, React
  • Experience in Lean Design, Test Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
  • Experience working in Human Centered Design, Agile and DevSecOps environments
  • A passion to contribute to the full stack - the front-end, backend and anything in-between (middleware or otherwise).

Steampunk is a federal contractor subject to Executive Order 14042 and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.223-99 implementing the order. Therefore, this position requires full vaccination for COVID-19, except in jurisdictions where the mandate is barred by a court ordered injunction.
