Job Description:

Your way to impact:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Staff Software Architect to join our Mobile Platform Team. In this leadership role, you will play a pivotal role in defining the technical vision and roadmap for our mobile platform. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performing technology solutions that enable PayPal teams to efficiently deliver value to customers. You will also be responsible for envisioning the developer ecosystem that enables engineering teams to build features quickly with high quality and consistency.

Your day to day:

  • Lead the design and development of our mobile platform architecture, ensuring it is extensible, scalable and performant
  • Select and implement appropriate technologies and frameworks to support mobile development whereby standards exist as frameworks, tools and automation.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, coding standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., QA, DevOps) to ensure seamless delivery of mobile applications.

What you need to bring:
  • Experience in software architecture and building for customers at scale, globally
  • Proven track record of designing and building high-performance, scalable mobile applications.
  • Expert understanding of software design principles, best practices, and coding standards.
  • Excellent written communication skills
