Summary:

  • Our Senior Tech's are responsible for the testing and inspecting of precision electronic/mechanical devices, documenting and reporting on the tests performed, and the troubleshooting of these devices.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform functional tests on products at sub-assembly and final assembly level.
  • Troubleshoot failed products/subassembly to component level and/or root cause.
  • Test products per written test procedures, verify current revision level of product, and visually inspect products for appearance and workmanship prior to final turn in.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A.A. degree in Electronic Engineering Technology or equivalent technical / military certification.
  • Three to five years experience as a bench technician, troubleshooting and repairing electronic assemblies to the component level.
  • Knowledge of common test equipment, i.e., oscilloscopes, multi-meters, signal/function generators, frequency counters, etc.
  • Ability to read, understand and analyze schematic drawings.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Two years' experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Good working knowledge and experience with testing pneumatics.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft OS.
  • A background in production or prior military experience in the electronics field.
  • Proficient in the use of HyperTerminal, Pro-comm, or Tera Term software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to respond positively to feedback and implement change in process and procedures as needed.

Physical Demands:
  • Employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Employee is regularly required to walk throughout the day.
  • Employee is regularly required to see and observe small labels, and components.
  • The Position requires the employee to be on-site during scheduled shift to perform daily duties and responsibilities.

Work Environment:
  • Employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled production environment, with frequent exposure to Office and Electronic Test equipment.
  • Employee Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and loud noise.
