Wind service technician

Ability to work a flexible work schedule is a must, along with the ability to analyze and resolve problems independently and efficiently. Ideal candidates will provide excellent service to our customers, have the ability to work in stressful, dangerous situations, and participate in the development of new field procedures and best practices.

Participates in semi-complex equipment installation, trial runs, investigative tests, repairs and overhauls. Performs semi-complex maintenance and maintains documents of all installations, inspections, maintenance repair work, and failures. Participates in responding to semi-complex service or systems calls. Participates in the assessment of semi-complex product/equipment performance based on field support data and recommends modifications or improvements.

Requirements for the position are

  • Physically and mentally able to work suspended from heights and in confined spaces
  • Flexible travel schedule
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must meet body weight restrictions of 260 lbs or less as required by the equipment safety regulations • Must pass a physical administered by a medical practitioner to ensure ability to safely perform the job functions and meet the physical demands of the position
  • Must have clean driving record and pass pre-hire drug screening
  • Up to 75% travel
  • Relocation may be offered for this role should it be necessary
Preferred Knowledge/ Skills, Education, and Experience
  • Certification from Renewable Energy or Wind Technical Program
  • Minimum 6 months hands on work experience as a Field Service Technician at a Wind Power site.
  • Driving is an essential function of the job and applicants must have a valid driver's license at the time of application with an acceptable driving record. Employees must maintain a valid license and acceptable driving record and may be subject to periodic DMV checks of their license.
  • Location in - Woodward, Oklahoma
