You'll get the chance to assemble structural metal products using a large variety of tools and machines, including drill presses, grinders, welding machines and more. Not to mention, you'll interpret blueprints, drawings and other written/verbal instructions and then weigh in on project scope and requirements. Job Responsibilities:

• Study and interpret assembly instructions.

• Fabricate and assemble structural metal products.

• Read and interpret blueprints and sketches.

• Interpret measurements.

• Operate equipment, including but not limited to lathes, mills, drill press, press-breaks, shears, and cutting tables.

• Follow daily manufacturing work orders giving special attention to various materials, profiles, special ribbing, perforating and striation tooling and adding any needed specific notations

• Crate or palletize finished panels and goods

• Make adjustments to the machine by observation and using monitoring equipment feedback and performing quality control methods, such as gauges and hand tools

• Perform quality checks to verify proper lengths, widths, paint finish discrepancies, and weights are adhered to using the proper tools.

• Achieve production goals while complying to all safety requirements.

• Must be able to switch between various equipment as needed.

• Other duties maybe assigned.

Job Skills & Qualifications:

Preferred:

• 2 years' experience in fabricating steel and welding field preferred, or ability to demonstrate proficiency.

• Proficient in MIG, TIG, stick for steel, SS, and Aluminum.

• Ability to read blueprints or follow technical specifications

• Ability to read documents and interpret facts and draw conclusions

Required:

• Ability to work with hands, lift heavy objects and stand on your feet for long periods of time often doing repetitive motions.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Basic mathematic skills.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES - N/A

OTHER(Service/Quality, Safety, Language, Mathematical, Reasoning Skill, etc.)

• Willing and able to operate a fork lift; training will be provided if necessary

• Highly motived self-starter with good sound work ethics

• Must demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail and accuracy

• Follow the company's rules of engagement, most importantly following the golden rule

• Good communication, organization, and time management skills

• Basic computer, mathematics (ability to use a basic calculator), and problem solving skills

• Ability to use rulers, tapes, calipers, and other measuring equipment

• Team player and must be able to follow instructions by management

• Perform maintenance on all tools, gauges and equipment. Ensuring that all items are functioning according to established work and safety standards.

• Flexible to the possibility of overtime when required

• Must be able to learn to operate new equipment

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time; minimum 8 hour shift

• Ability to walk on level concrete surfaces

• Ability to bend, twist, and lift minimum of 75 lbs. will be required; proper lifting techniques will be utilized

• Ability to routinely get on and get off fork lifts as needed

• The environment is a fast paced metal processing manufacturing environment where proper personal protection equipment will be used, these is not limited to steel toe boots, hearing and eye protection, and cut resistant gloves/arm guards

• There maybe at times where the ambient temperature may fluctuate and employees will be exposed to increased noise levels
