Overview

Position Title: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Location: Remote

Your role

As a member of the Reliability Engineering team, you will assist in deploying, maintaining, and advancing Digital Realty's interconnection fabric service. You will be afforded a high degree of autonomy, trust, and will have the opportunity to shape a developing product while honing and growing your skills.

What you'll do

• Gaining familiarity and expertise with our network infrastructure
• Using devops tools to maintain infrastructure as code, automate changes, implement CI/CD, and assist in troubleshooting
• Seeking opportunities to fix, improve, and advance our infrastructure
• Identifying and eliminating toil
• Collaborating daily with teammates
• Selecting and performing tasks with limited guidance
• Participating in an on-call rotation

Ideal candidates will bring an understanding of carrier class network infrastructure as well as experience working in a fast-paced development environment using agile and devops practices.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of operations and engineering experience
• Experience with
  • Linux systems and tools
  • Automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform
  • Scripting/programming in Python or equivalent language
  • Software development tools such as Git and Jenkins
• Familiarity with
  • AWS
  • Layer 2 and layer 3 protocols, including 802.1Q, OSPF, MPLS, BGP, IS-IS
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication skills
