Position Summary:

Responsible for completing all day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and cleaning, (office, warehouse grounds, and outdoor grounds), as well as equipment. This position will help, when needed in all areas of the maintenance, production floor and warehousing areas.

Responsibilities:

• In charge of general housekeeping and janitorial tasks. Work with Department Supervisors to identify housekeeping needs and follows up to make sure Dept employees are following through on the assigned tasks for both the yard and inside production areas.
• Remove trash staged by departments and transport to waste receptacles.
• Perform monthly documented checks for fire extinguishers, eye wash, showers. Report deficiencies to Management, and correct deficiencies.
• Complete basic repairs to facility infrastructure
• In charge of general snow removal and ice melt applications in winter months
• Ensure supply and stock of restroom/breakroom supplies
• Assist maintenance with rigging and transportation of maintenance supplies
• Operate forklift for assistance, as needed
• Property grounds keeping (mowing, weed whacking, paving sweeping)
• Basic IT hardware maintenance (such as low voltage and data cable running and connecting)
• Contribute to a 5S environment
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3-5 years' experience in a maintenance related position within a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of training and experience
• Ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals, blue prints, schematics, charts, diagrams, etc.
• Ability to use precision measuring devices including amp meters, electric meters, and hydraulic gauges
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize job assignments and work independently
• Ability to perform or learn basic plumbing and perform low voltage electrical tasks
• Basic understanding of systems, equipment and schematics
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Good troubleshooting skills
• Basic mathematical skills used to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use decimals and fractions
• Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility, and perform all assigned duties to the required standard
• Operate a Forklift
