Veterans United Home Loans is seeking a Software Engineer to join us remotely in 2024 in either Columbia, St. Louis, or Kansas City.

As a Software Engineer, you will create and maintain front-end and back-end software to enhance the lives of your co-workers and clients. You will support business objectives related to mortgage and real estate domains, primarily in the service of helping Veterans and Service Members buy homes.

Job duties will vary upon assignment but may include:

• Create and deliver working software using our core technologies (.NET, C#, Angular, TypeScript, etc.) in an agile development environment. This involves applying Domain-Driven Design, adhering to Clean Code practices, and utilizing object-oriented programming methodologies.
  
• Participate in and contribute to whole team planning, retrospectives, and communication; including interacting with the Architects and Product Owners to translate requirements into business logic.
  
• Participate in the proposal and adoptions of Software Engineering standards related to architectural considerations and non-functional requirements (ie. security, reliability, stability) associated with the movement and visibility of borrower data and the life of a loan.
  
• Actively contribute to making the team and culture stronger by assisting with other duties as needed, excluding licensed activity.

• Experience and preference for Agile product delivery.
  
• Experience with GIT, Change Management, and application lifecycle management tools.
  
• Experience influencing others without positional control.
  
• Proficient in basic computer technologies, appropriate for an internet-based company.
  
• Regular and predictable attendance
