Hottinger Bruel & Kjaer Solutions LLC is looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our fast-growing team. We combine our expertise in reliability, durability, advanced modelling and software engineering to provide Asset Performance Management Solutions, some of which include Machine Learning Model-driven Predictive Analytics. You will be joining an active, dynamic and growing software design, development and configuration team to rapidly create and deploy innovative digital software solutions. This includes working with a team alongside subject matter experts, project managers and product managers to implement and deploy innovative solutions using the latest technology and approaches.

Primary responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Software solution design, configuration and installation
  
• Manage program CI/CD and develop robust and secure deployment solutions for customers.
  
• Assist Project Lead in collaborating with customers to understand their requirements and translate them into system implementations
  
• Work with client Enterprise Architects, integrating the solutions into client enterprise environments
  
• Collaborate with our wider organizational software development and configuration teams to help streamline future implementations and software products
  
• Work with project and product managers to achieve on-time, on-cost delivery
  
• Presentations to team members, management and customers
  
• Other duties as needed
  

Professional qualifications

• A Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science with an aptitude for engineering applications
  
• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience and related technology professional certifications
  

Personal skills

• US Citizens Only (REQUIREMENT)
  
• Exceptional command of all facets of Gitlab (or equivalent) particularly constructing and maintaining build and deployment pipelines
  
• Proficiency with designing Identity and Access Management solutions
  
• Solid understanding of scripting and modern Web based programming architectures and implementations
  
• Experience with database configuration, design and performance tuning
  
• Ability to translate business requirements into solution implementations
  
• Experience with one or more of the following technologies in each category:
  
  • Linux based and Windows operating systems
    
  • MongoDB (NoSQL), InfluxDB, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, OSIsoft
    
  • Kafka, MQTT, JMS
    
  • Power BI, Grafana, Tableau
    
  • Python, JavaScript, SQL
    
  • Project management and Version Control software (e.g. Gitlab, Atlassian stacks)
    
• Prior experience in implementing enterprise-scale solutions involving large scale data
  
• Enterprise scalable deployment experience (Linux and Windows)
  
• High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others
  
• Exceptional skills related to time management and decision making
  
• Willingness to travel to support customer sites (up to 10%)
  
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
