Position: Software Engineer III

Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Design and develop applications using Core Java. Develop RESTful Web Services by following REST standards for performing (CRUD) operations on various levels of customer specific data. Implement software design patterns including Abstract Factory, Façade, Adapter, business delegate, bridge, singleton, and prototype in Java. Develop Java web/EE applications using Java 1.7 and Java EE and related frameworks such as Spring, RESTful, and SOAP APIs. Leverage pipes and filters to format the data to be rendered on user interfaces. Implement Spring framework components such as Core, AOP, Context, JMS, Batch, TX, and JDBC for the development of various web and enterprise applications. Work with cloud-based systems including Infrastructure and Platforms as a Service. Work with NoSQL databases Cassandra or MongoDB. Write shell scripts using Linux to invoke and schedule applications. Work on version control systems like GIT or SVN. Write complex SQL and database level programs like Procedures, Functions, and Triggers using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL. Conduct real time monitoring and tuning of applications using Database Tools SQL Explain-Plan, SQL Profiler, AWR report, and SQL Analyzer. Deploy the applications and workflow into cloud environments. Work on Hadoop ecosystems using real-time streaming technologies including Spark.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year of experience in software engineering or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years of experience in software engineering or a related area.

Skills required: Experience coding in object-oriented programming languages: Java and Python. Experience designing and implementing REST API web services using Java. Experience with Java and Python frameworks including Spring, Spring Boot, and Flask. Experience designing and testing Relational Database Management systems, including MySQL, and NoSQL database systems, including MongoDB. Experience with Big Data technologies: Apache Spark, Elasticsearch, and Apache Flink. Experience with distributed event streaming platforms: Kafka and Kinesis. Experience with Tomcat web server. Experience with Test Driven Development frameworks including JUnit, Mockito, and EasyMock. Experience with SCM tools including Bitbucket, GitHub, and Jenkins. Experience with build tool: Maven. Experience with telemetry tool: Dynatrace. Experience developing applications using design patterns including Factory, Singleton, Adapter, Façade, Data Access Object, Business Delegate, Transfer Object, and MVC. Experience designing and implementing SOAP Web Services using Java. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $147,481/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
