RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Engineer in Test (SDET) in Chicago, IL.Overview:As a Software Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive architecture for an automated testing framework. The testing framework will be used to write smoke, regression, and continuous integration (CI) tests. You will also be responsible for the analysis and migration of current technologies to the new testing framework. In addition, you will collaborate with other developers across the firm to ensure proper code coverage is achieved by the test suites.Duties Include:- SDET will design and develop an automation testing framework
- Implement a compressive regression and Continuous Integration (CI) test suite
- As a SDET, you will review test cases to assess technical risk and compliance
- Assist in reproducing defects and performing a test gap analysis
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Computer Science or another STEM-related field
- 5+ years of experience in test automation within a financial services environment required; Experience testing a full-stack trading platform highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience creating and implementing a state-of-the-art testing framework required
- Proven experience in test plan design and execution required
- Proficient in stress and performance testing methodologies and common testing libraries/frameworks required
- Experience with modern C++ standards and proven experience with C++14/17 required
- Strong programming experience in Python required
- Experience with Network programming (TCP/UDP, Multi-cast, etc.) and IPC
- Experience with FIX and other exchange APIs
- Experience building exchange API simulators
- Experience with BDD/TDD processes
- Self-motivated with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills and results-oriented nature
- Ability to work successfully in a collaborative environment
- Strong ability to reverse engineer causes of defects and implement solutions
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
