Sourcing & Procurement Systems Manager

Position Summary

Sun's Sourcing & Procurement Systems Manager serves as a lead technical subject matter expert for sourcing and procurement systems, applications, and practices. Major areas of responsibility include process definition, design, configuration, implementation, testing, communication, maintenance, and administration of Sun's sourcing & procurement processes and systems.

Duties

  1. Plays lead role in sourcing & procurement system implementations, which may include vendor analysis, project management, QA testing and validation, developing roll-out strategy, etc.
  2. Acquires expert knowledge of existing business and technical processes and applies this knowledge to assigned tasks and projects. Is a leader in the design and implementation of effective and efficient procurement processes and tools.
  3. Maintains sourcing and procurement processes, procedures, and systems on an ongoing basis. Ensure compliance with Sourcing and Procurement standards and best practices.
  4. Acts as internal sourcing and procurement process expert and leverages business knowledge to ensure systems are strategically aligned within the organization.
  5. Partners with sourcing & procurement leadership for management of overall design, implementation, delivery, and support of sourcing & procurement systems & related procedures to ensure successful adoption throughout the company & alignment with business objectives.
  6. Designs and implements new or updated system configurations to ensure Sun is maximizing it's use and value of chosen systems.
  7. Partners with development resources to build and maintain system integrations with internal and external applications, as well as ensure existing interfaces continue to run smoothly and provide accurate results.
  8. Partners with sourcing & procurement team to ensure data integrity in systems through proactive means.
  9. Responsible for monitoring available upgrades and enhancements to sourcing & procurement systems, meets with functional leaders to review capabilities, and drives enablement and effective communication of new features.
  10. Ensures sourcing & procurement systems and supporting processes are well-documented and compliant with sourcing & procurement strategies, standards, and necessary regulations.
  11. Prepares necessary information for sourcing & procurement systems audits, ensuring SOX compliance.
  12. Partners with vendors to ensure prompt resolution to support tickets, including monitoring issue status and escalating as appropriate.
  13. Provides mentorship and development to sourcing & procurement team members to drive deepening and broadening of business processes, system knowledge and experience.
  14. Identify and escalate critical external relationships that could affect the supply chain, planning, and decision-making.
  15. Assists with various projects as needed and other duties as assigned.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in information technology or related field (Required)
  • 5 years experience in administering source-to-pay technology(Required)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to quickly learn and adopt project management tools
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and develop, document, and execute complex data workflows
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of sourcing & procurement systems and their application
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven record of continually seeking learning opportunities
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to understand and translate the voice of business customers
  • Ability to think creatively to solve customer requests using configuration
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and reporting skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Knowledge of configuration and support best practices and methodologies
  • Willingness to respond to business needs after normal business hours, when required
