Summary:

The Senior Corporate Development M&A Analyst will be supporting mergers and acquisition activities with sophisticated financial analysis and modeling, market and target company research, due diligence, and coordination of activities with internal and external colleagues. Also responsible for supporting business development and other strategic activities such as partnerships, strategic alliances, joint ventures, and divestitures.

Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Participate in a variety of financial modeling and analysis functions while meeting challenging established timelines
  • Develop and manipulate various financial models in support of department activities including models to assess the value and economic impact of potential acquisition targets or divestitures, while ensuring department best practices are followed
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis to identify key economic drivers, understand the relationship of fixed and variable costs, ascertain the level of capital investment required and understand how these factors may be influenced by Intrado
  • Prepare reports detailing findings to fellow team members and potentially other executive management within Intrado
  • Review and provide comments on Offering Materials introducing potential acquisition candidates to Intrado
  • Perform financial and other due diligence to help identify potential weaknesses or areas of risk inherent in proposed transactions ensuring supervisory review and approval on work product
  • Assemble, review and deliver offering materials on sell-side assignments
  • Manage virtual data room(s), as needed
  • Coordinate transaction processes by managing the flow of information to and from all relevant parties and by administering Corporate Development's Salesforce.com repository of information and documents related to potential transactions
  • Assist with post-transaction activities including integration efforts and asset appraisals
  • Thoroughly research assigned markets and companies for potential business expansion
  • Utilize a variety of resources (i.e., independent research firms, trade shows, contacts within the industry, etc.) to compile useful and relevant information about the market sizes, market growth rates, competitors, customers, service providers, and regulatory environments related to industries of interest
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Intrado technologies, systems, clients, and applications in order to understand the capabilities of Intrado and whether or not those are compatible with the markets, target companies, or the business development initiative under review
  • Prepare and present reports detailing findings to fellow team members within Corporate Development, as well as potentially other executive management outside the department


Education

Bachelor's degree from top college or university with major coursework in accounting, finance, economics or related field.

Experience and Technical Skills
  • Minimum 2 years of M&A experience which may include investment banking, corporate development or private equity.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, specifically relating to financial modeling required
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint required
