Key result areas:

  • Serves as the subject matter expert on employment laws and appropriately applies information to employee relation matters.
  • Creates legally sound solutions to complex cases and maximizes opportunities for success of employees and the business.
  • Provides employee relations coverage and support after hours, as needed.
  • Helps to maintain a positive employee relations climate by facilitating discussions or by providing consistent advice and guidance to managers and employees for problem resolution of work-related conflict.
  • Coach departmental leadership in carrying out their responsibilities on employee relations matters.
  • Conducts investigations and recommends resolution for all employee relations concerns.
  • Partners daily with HRBP’s to advise of employee relations matters.
  • Conducts exit (leaver) interviews with departing employees.
  • Reports on trends and analytics
  • Facilitate Leave of Absences, including FMLA, return to work, Workers Compensation and ADA Interactive processes.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
