The Senior Manager of Operations will play a role in leading manufacturing and operation initiatives and strategies. Identify projects and recommend appropriate course of action to increase productivity and profitability. The initiatives that drive meaningful and balanced improvements across the manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain operation. This critical position calls for a strategic influencer, someone who is analytical and understands operations to impact the trajectory of our company's profitability.

There may be surprises during the day, like an unexpected new order or a major equipment breakdown. But that's when you are expected to be calm and successful in overcoming the unexpected.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in related field; master's degree preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 5-7 years of management experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership ability with the capability to demonstrate the use of diverse resources, respond quickly, understand the impact of changes and decisions, facilitate agreement, build collaborative relationships, and focus on customer needs.
• Experience in leading an organization in a cGMP environment with a mix of Make to Stock (MTS) and Make to Order (MTO)/Custom products mainly Powder for the production and supply of biopharmaceutical products.
• Shown experience as a change agent with ability to influence and communicate at all levels in the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, deliver results and manage in an ambiguous environment.
• Experience leading in a matrix organization is a plus.
• Able to lead cross functional teams through direct and indirect reporting structures.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Ability to work with individuals at all levels and within all functions to actively coach technical and non-technical professionals to achieve maximum performance.
• Practical application experience in continuous improvement methodologies and/or lean 6-sigma to improve processes, strengthen quality and drive efficiency.
• Working knowledge of financials.
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to optimally use data in problem solving and to evaluate process changes and impacts.
• Audit experience within a cGMP environment with successful outcomes is valuable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal and the ability to facilitate effective team interactions.
• Potential to scale and grow beyond this role.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

• Work in a controlled manufacturing environment.
• Expose to fumes and chemicals such as raw materials, cleaners, etc.
• Various levels of gowning are required.
