The Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading the Talent Acquisition function for a large business unit and/or multiple business units within DFA. This includes leading the strategic, operational acquisition of talent across the business unit and through all talent from entry level to Executive. The role is also responsible for leading a team of TA partners (including Sr. TA Partners) who deliver best practice talent acquisition for DFA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition Partnering:
• Lead the end-to-end Talent Acquisition function that provides full cycle recruitment activities that include: developing job descriptions, posting ads, reviewing resumes, conducting phone screens and interviews, reference checking and extending job offers.
• Ensure the team delivers information to applicants, employees, and managers in a timely and accurate manner.
• Partner with the business to understand current and future resourcing needs.
• Partner with Talent Sourcing team on strategic acquisition plan to deliver talent pipelines that meet current and anticipated future business needs and ensure candidate pools with strong candidates.
• Determine which job fairs DFA is represented at and ensure the team appropriately resources these.
• Consult and advise direct reports and management team members on matters related to recruitment, employee promotions and transfers.
• Partner with managers and provide relevant advice to optimize their selection outcomes while delivering a high level of customer service; persuade managers and leaders to take action
• Manage projects and present to business unit leadership

Talent Acquisition Processes and Systems:
• Partner with direct reports and Human Resources team members to identify and implement improvements in Human Resources processes and systems.
• Lead and support complex projects to support staffing and other strategic initiatives as requested by HR and business leaders.

Process Improvement:
• Continuously evaluate the process for improvements in candidate, hiring manager and HR talent experience. Champion process and improvements with the HR leadership Team.
• Work with direct reports and hiring managers to continually upgrade recruiting and selection processes and procedures. Explore and evaluate new tools and resources.
• Ensure all processes are compliant and maintain accurate records concerning all phases of the recruitment process.

Program Management:
• Lead and execute various programs or initiatives related to Talent Acquisition.
• Assess overall program effectiveness by developing and implementing tools to gather insights and drive success.

Team Leadership:
• Build and manages a high performing team who deliver on people plan initiatives.
• Create and maintain a positive work climate by inspiring and engaging the team.
• Conduct quality performance and development conversations and provide regular feedback to support professional growth.
• Build the capability and profile of all team members.

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of talent acquisition and human resources experience, gained in a dynamic organization.
• Team leadership experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of Human Resources practice areas of talent acquisition.
• Consulting skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Working knowledge of HR related laws/regulations.
• Organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to develop and manage direct reports.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
• Ability to establish credibility with managers and employees.
• Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous priorities and prioritize a heavy workload in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
• Proactive approach towards improving processes and systems.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, strong negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to identify and handle priority and/or sensitive issues with discretion and a commitment to confidentiality.
