Overview

Intrepid Solutions is teamed on program delivering support services for network and maintenance operations, storage management, information assurance, engineering, installation, web services, and communications. Within this program, Intrepid is seeking a higher level candidate to provide support within an MCSE Cloud Platform and Infrastructure computing environment as a Systems Administrator. A qualified individual will meet the requirements, and be able to perform the duties, listed below:
Responsibilities

• Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions.
• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
• Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problem
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
• Configure and manage Windows operating systems
• Installs/loads operating system and application software
• Isolate and resolve of hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof
• Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
• Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems.

OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS: This is a full time position that may operate within a shop to be manned 365x24x7 including holidays and weekends, candidates should be flexible in working various shifts.

TRAVEL: Position does not require travel.

Qualifications

CLEARANCE: Active Top Secret / SCI. ***TS/SCI required upon application for initial consideration. This position is not open for any clearance upgrades, reactivation, or sponsorship.***

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or GED AND Ten (10) years of relevant experience
• Associates Degree AND Eight (8) years of relevant experience
• Bachelors Degree AND Six (6) years of relevant experience
• Masters Degree AND Four (4) years of relevant experience
• PhD AND Two (2) years of relevant experience.

CERTIFICATION(S):

• Active 8570 IAT II Certification (Security+CE, or equivalent), required.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must be skilled with VMWare.
• Experience running a highly efficient and modern data center.
• Expertise in cloud technologies, identity management, systems management, virtualization, storage, and networking.
• Able to build new Virtual servers on a large scale environment.
• Full understanding of connecting storage from a separate environment into the program environment.
