Position: Accountant
Duration: Temp to Hire
Pay: $32-39/hour
Location: Walnut Creek - Onsite
Must Have: Sage Intacct
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Collecting and reconciling payroll data and responding to accounting requests for financial data.General ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and administration.Manage vendor databases and 1099 processing.Receive, balance, and audit cash receipts and disbursements, post revenue, and prepare bank deposits and related reports.Prepare, maintain, and verify various accounting, financial, and statistical records, ledgers, logs, and files.Generate and prepare a variety of financial, accounting, and statistical statements, analyses, documents, and reports for management reporting using both manual and computerized spreadsheet applications.Assist in preparing data analysis reports and presentations.Provide backup support for payroll administration and accounts payable processing, including sorting and distributing invoices, contacting vendors regarding payments, processing invoices, and generating checks.Qualification:
Knowledge of general accounting principles and payroll processes and data analysisData collection, entry, and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentialityWork proficiently with computerized accounting software programs, Word, Excel, and other analytical software programsOrganize, coordinate, and facilitate meetings and eventsWrite reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsProvide clear oral and written communicationRecent experience with Sage IntacctBachelor's or Associate degree in Accounting or related fieldKnowledge and experience in public accounting requirementsThree years of progressively responsible experience in performing financial or statistical recordkeepingExperience in a public agency is preferredTo Apply: Please send your resume outlining your relevant experience
